luck is the probability of good things happen to you.

1) Occurrence - by "going out" - meeting people, this increases the pool as well as reduce / balance concentration of "rotten" vs "good" relations. (increasing 人运)

2) Increase chances by doing good - positive energy accumulates due to the "One good deed deserves another" effect. (increasing 人运)

3) Reduce the bad habits that could accumulate bad karma, especially those that are born naturally.
