okay guys , i got another problem , i partitioned my hard drive into 2 to install my 64 bit windows 7 OS , now that i have deleted the 32 bit OS partition , i cant merge the 2 partitions into one , the extend volume button is greyed out , any solutions?

There are some default features of window like disk cleanup and disk fragmentation which we should do regularly.Apart from this you can check the start up programs you can disable which are not required at the time of system boot.

Get a CD R or RW, make a GParted live disk, boot from it, it will auto open the partition manager.

This G parted can run like a linux live disk and is OpenSourced using GNU/Linux. Run it live from CD like how you run Linux live CDs, it has a few boot option you need to select (i.e. language) before it starts up.

This utility is far stronger than Windows disk management which can't do much. I use it to OP my SSDs beyond what some SSD manufacturer's toolkit can do. After you're done when you boot into Windows it'll usually do a disk check after the partition size changed.
