Invent a new way to go changi sit for a long time......

Tried
Jump onto MRT track.
Jump into zoo enclosure
Scam a lot of people
Break covid rules
Rob a bank
Rob a goldsmith shop with chopper (aka Bedok case)
Go Terminator (3x people tried, end up IMH which is better)

Most have no issue taking additional 300-500k loan using money they don't have to have get hdb with better locations ..

Those additional money if put inside cpf... No issue for 2 to retire with a fully paid hdb...

work and save up then invest then retirement this is the fastest and easier way if we are not doing any business. of course there is risk. also best is to stay single and work on retirement.

i worked for almost 20 years as a low income earner, currently accumulated about 1.6 million in cash and cpf, but no own house. no car, no wife. depend on what u want in life.

1. Buy cheap flat

2. Pay off flat

3. Keep farming at work

4. Rent out rooms

5. Buy income generating assets.

And #1 is very important. Unless you're really rich to begin with. If you're a normal salaryman, "upgrading" to a condo pretty much guarantees you need to work for an additional 20-30 years before you can retire.
