how to retrieve back up files on Computer

hi,
I have actually back up my iphone 4s on itunes. Done both the auto as well as manual back up and am wondering where exactly are those files now on my computer with a windows Os. I believed a thorough back up has already been saved on my com but i need to know where is it located exactly? is it in "My Computer" or somewhere else? because i am planning to sell off my 4s and i do not wanna lose any of my photos i took over the years! need some urgent clarifications!!

Assuming you still have the phone as it is (not restored or reset), are you looking to keep a backup copy of just the photos that you took with the phone camera (and not the other user data, such as messages, videos, songs and etc)? If that is the case, perhaps another possible, more straight forward alternative would be to:

- plug in your phone to a Windows computer installed with a working copy of iTunes (you should already have this since you already backed up your phone)

- with Windows File explorer, your iPhone should show up as if you plugged in a usb flash drive (but without any assigned drive letter)

- you may see one or more folders with rather cryptic names, and within them are all your photos (and videos) you took with your phone camera

- you can simply select all, drag & drop them all onto your computer and you are done.

Photos and videos that you took with your phone are about the only things an iPhone users can directly and freely make copy of. The backup file route is not so straight-forward, since they are a whole bunch of cryptic files and folders for, well, backup purpose, often most useful only to iTunes (doing all the backup work).

I have not backup my files for almost 2 years in itunes as my laptop is not with me.

Can I back-up all my existing photos thru iCloud as I have bought the 20GB/year storage?
