I was planning to replace my aging PC with a laptop end of this week but before I could transfer the data, my PC died. It is either a motherboard, memory or video card problem. The PC beeps 1 long beep followed by 3 short beeps and monitor remains black. As I do not have any spare pc to reinstall the hdd, is there anyway to take the internal hdd out and read it via usb? I read on the Internet that i can get a cheap enclosure but i can't seem to find it in challenger. Anyone has ideas?

Hi there,

I use a HDD dock for my old hardisks. You can find one easily in SLS. Good luck.

u cant savage it, the HDD will die. For salvaging purpose, you can get a HDD (yours is SATA?) to USB cable, and connect to your comp.
