This is exactly what I have been saying

80% of females only aim for the top 20-30% men, and consider the rest of the average guys as non-human

But they will vehemently deny and say they are only looking for a kind hearted decent man

Then you ask them what is a kind hearted decent man, she will tell you above certain height, earn higher than certain income level, have cars, stay private housing, career-ambitious, preferably is doctor lawyer or investment banker etc :rolleyes:

The main thing is, females will never lower their expectations unless they are desperate. But even so, it is rare.

with "requirements inflation", the figure is closer to 95% aiming for the top 5%.

only true if youre not chio enough, or if you dont openly express to them that you're interested.

so even if you let's say joking touch him here and there and flirt with him, I think most sg guys wont know how to go forward and prefer to play it safe rather than assume interest. especially if he isnt used to receiving female interest.

honestly I think the men here need to grow more balls and directly tell the women if they're interested. ofc, if you're the one chasing, onus also on you to make it clear to him like escalating to asking for one on one dinners, hanging out alone etc.

that said, looks are not everything la. timing and personality also matters. technically speaking another 50% of the population is below average, yet we still see them finding partners. as long as you dont shoot too high and be realistic with your standards, know where you are at and shoot within your means. if you're not happy where you are at, then work harder to move up in terms of looks/ wealth. dont chase, but attract.
