How to switch between windows in Yosemite

I just sold off my MBA 2011 (Lion) and got an MBA2015 (Yosemite). There are a few changes but I have transitioned painlessly. Except for one thing still bugging me.

I cant find the shortcut for how to swtich between windows of the same app (not between different apps which is the same as Lion ie CMD+TAB).
In Lion switching between different multiple windows of say 'Finder' was CMD+`. Does anyone know the shortcut if there is one in Yosemite? I tried the above and Googled without success.

Yes, that's to switch between tabs in the same window

I've tried that already. But it doesn't work in Finder. It works in Chrome tho (can switch between multiple open windows), but not Safari. Strange.

Any other ideas?

Ok it's working now! i.e. CMD+` will switch between different Finder windows. Phew! I don't know how i did it. Maybe a restart? Thanks to all who replied esp pet pet
