Best is to put a tag on them, similar to office lanyard with contact details who to contact if this person is lost. Another alternative is a customized bracelet that they cannot remove easily (must cut with scissors).

If really want gps type then ankle bracelet like fugitives lah... But if already like that, best is to hire a help to accompany them everywhere, for their own safety.

V difficult. An auntie i know her husb dementia one always hv to keep an eye on him. Got once she was showering or something , he walked out without anything n she took hrs to look for him. Best if can ensure door locked n keys not accessible, unless u can fix a non removable tracker on him/her
