This config is pretty awesome and may i mind asking if its a msi laptop or barebone? Coz no laptop have killer E2200 except msi.

- 16GB of ram seems overkill

- 256GB of storage is a rather modest amount, hopefully you dont need to store anything big like videos, etc

its a US laptop brand called ibuypower and its actually MSI in disguise. Since they are from MSI, i guess they are pretty much reliable as well.

If you got the spare cash go for the super raid variant. The adata msata ssd x 2 in raid 0 can hit up to 1000 + mb read write speed. You cannot buy the super raid adapter elsewhere as its proprietary of msi.
