seems like we can slow down the process and preserve as much hearing as possible
but cannot eliminate the decay over time
for me i dont use headset, headphone etc
and no blasting music loud loud
Yar, cannot avoid one, can only delay and reduce impact. Just like eyesight. Once reach certain age, the symptoms of deterioration will occur.
I'm 45. For me high frequency sounds still ok, but it's low frequency that I have prob with. Ever since my son voice break become very low, I can't hear what he says, always need to ask him to repeat. Somemore the current teenage gen like to mumble, very hard for me to hear.
As for sight, I found the drop off very severe once I hit 43. Have to wear reading glasses or hold the item at arm's length to see anything near. Last time always laugh at my dad do the hold far far action. Now is my turn. I read somewhere it is common to have sight problems in early 40s, but then somehow in 60s will rebound and become better again.
