How's the weather?

I've never been to Japan let alone encounter the weather there. Forecast seems to avg about 21 degrees in Tokyo for the next week. Now what's it like there? Is the weather cold enough that you wouldn't wanna wear shorts outside or it's bearable with shorts but perhaps a jacket or two would help if the weather takes a turn?

Personal coldness threshold.
I wore shorts and just one tee shirt in 18-20deg. I also know ppl who wore jacket in same weather.

its not the temperature, its the wind that matter. especially with typhoon approaching next week.

Here right now and perfectly comfortable with wearing shorts and a shirt. Night will be chiller but still bearable for me, not wearing jacket at all.

And yes its the typhoon that matters now, with a second one in sight. Hope I can survive through Monday!

come november.. the night time weather could drastically change..bring at least a wind breaker .

Never be sorry, always bring along warm clothing even in day time. You will observe this behavior in country with 4 seasons.
