Some peeps I know swear by B+W. I realised that Amazon sells B+W filters quite competitively. Just pay a bit more. What's more, a number of B+W filters qualify for AmazonGlobal

If you want to get a UV filter for protection, I suggest a normal hoya will be good enough. No point getting a b+w cos however good, it will still cause reflection especially at night. But if you are getting for other purpose, then depending on your needs. Both are good but I know b+w tends to be harder to clean esp finger prints.

I don't agree with the cleaning part.. B+W easier to wipe off the fingerprints. and it's more durable. As i know, since i'm using it, i can use my cloth to wipe my filter without scratching it.

I haven't got any issues with flare on my dslr lenses with b+w uv filters. I dun take them off, even when using nd and gnd filters.

But I notice that flare is a problem on my smaller m43 lenses with b+w uv filters, prolly due to the smaller front element which is prone to light refraction and flare.

L37C has been superceded by NC. About S$90-$100 for 77mm.

That said, I still get flares - only when it's on purpose. Don't want flare, don't shoot into the sun.

B+W is the best... hoya u want get the pro 1d.. for normal hoya if filter less then 62mm can get bigger then that dun recommend.. the light transmission is bad

1 B+W can buy 2x hoya hmc leh , what make it so different i still cant get it

bought 2 B+W and never look back.
for my 17-50mm and 10-22mm

easy to clean and feels solid!
