Anyone know where is the direct link to the HP drivers website? Cannot find it...

Me also bought a HP dv6-6105TX. Bought additional the PWP MS Office (OEM) as well.

It seems that the harddisk is not partitioned yet. Should I partition it, or leave it as it is?

Yup, but the D:\ is a recovery drive with only got 15GB.

Here's what I did (not sure if you are referring to this)...I used EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition (freeware) to do the following:

1. Rename D:\ (recovery) to Z:\

2. Split C:\ into 2 partitions (200gb into C:\, balance into D:\)

Thats a fantastic deal.

Expect to wait a long long time if you customise.

And quite dangerous I feel. Warranty issues, shipping and handling + GST will prolly come up to about $1400+

Must think first lor :)

i bought it at $1350, got laptop bag, norman anti virus, some kungfu panda tshirt. paid by citibank, got mouse and some cheap earphones. at harvey norman lvl 4 booth. their retail price is $1499, free upg of 8gb ram, laptop cooler, some screen cleaner and some other stuff i cant remember. for me i'll just buy the ram outside and install it myself.. the speakers are quite good, considering it's a laptop.. :D and i recommend get the 2nd yr warranty @ $49.

hi everyone, i bought hp dv6-6105tx at $1399, got laptop bag, trend micro anti virus, no kungfu panda tshirt. free upgrade to 8GB ram. 10-in-1 freebies, which include mouse, screen cleaner, cheap earphones and a lousy foldable cooling pad (not the usual average non-foldable cooling pad), free Toshiba 8gb thumbdrive and some cheap but functional sd card/micro sd card usb adaptor. paid by standard chart credit card. in addition, i purchased additional 2 years of hp warranty (pickup and return, includes parts and labour) at $69, making it a total of 3 years warranty.

Just asking, is it possible to copy the "recovery" file out to the portable harddisk as a backup?
