Does anyone know where can I get the TPU keyboard protector?
May I know how you did the partition...? This laptop already got four primary (C:/, Revovery(D:/), System and HP TOOLS..) partition already... one harddrive(MBR) can have maximum four primary partition, then how u created another partition..?Here's what I did (not sure if you are referring to this)...I used EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition (freeware) to do the following:
1. Rename D:\ (recovery) to Z:\
2. Split C:\ into 2 partitions (200gb into C:\, balance into D:\)

have u deleted any of the existing partition, before you create new one...?
this screen shot from which tool and version...? thanks....Hmm the steps I listed is exactly what I did though...
1. Rename D: into Z:
2. Shrink C: into 200GB
3. Partition unallocated into D:
Not sure bout the partition limit wor...

Just a warning to game developers/opengl users about this laptop model.
It contains the new (and highly under-developed) version of AMD's switchable graphics, PowerXpress 4.0. As of right now, the drivers do not work at all with OpenGL, so games like Brink and Minecraft will not utilize the AMD 6770m inside the laptop.
There's a thread over at notebookreview.com about this problem. (Seems to be affecting all dv6-6100 series laptops from HP)
What happens is that you have no control on which GPU is active.. instead you assign "High Performance" or "Power Saver" to specific applications which is supposed to cause them to either run on the integrated graphics or the 6770m but this feature does not seem to work for OpenGL applications and certain DirectX 9.0 applications (Microsoft Flight Simulator X).
Also, programs that do hardware prerequisite checks will likely fail as the graphic device displayed is always the integrated one. The discrete GPU does its work and uploads it to the integrated GPU.
Currently in contact with HP to see if they can solve this driver problem so that OpenGL applications have proper hardware acceleration, otherwise i might have to exchange this. Pity since the specs are so good for this price. :\
or, u can just ask HP to exchange your set with 6003tx? same specs just that it has manual switching instead of the dynamic switching. I am not sure if this problem u mentioned would exist for the 6000 series or not
It doesn't exist on the 6000 series because of the manual switching. I intend to exchange to the 6003tx if they are unable to provide more information on whether OpenGL will be supported. But frankly would you want to own a laptop that doesn't support OpenGL well? Esp since it contains a 6770m.. what a waste of potential. :\
how's the fan noise and heating for everyone?

So 6003 support opengGL and 6105 does not?
I can still get 6003 from hp. Wonder if i shld get it soon.
