"if an Eligible Customer is already participating and/or has been invited to participate in any other deposit related promotion involving his/her Eligible Account(s) and such other promotion is still ongoing during the Promotional Period and/or Relevant Period, the relevant Eligible Account(s) are not eligible for this Promotion."

So those who were invited but never join BTL excluded???

By comparison, the BTL and the Jan promo Premier (below 2 mil) have the same int rate : 2.80%

Differences :
- Reference month : BTL refers to Oct vs Jan promo refers to Dec
- BI payout : BTL will be credited on Mar, whereby Jan promo will be credited on Apr

If invited, better go ahead with BTL to play safe.

(not sure if it’s a good decision or not but) I registered for the BTL. Here’s the SMS.

HSBCSG: Thank you for your interest in the BTL EGA Bonus Interest Promotion. We acknowledge your registration based on XXXXX that you have keyed in earlier. If incorrect, please resubmit your entry. Please note that you will not be eligible for the January EGA Bonus Interest Promotion if you have registered for this promotion. Visit HSBC Singapore website for T&Cs.

I registered BTL too. It's better for me:
- one month 'contract'
- downgrading to Personal banking, so this will provide 2.8% instead of 2.7% based on the public promo for Personal tier

T-bills actually able to maintain 3.0x% which is surprising, so may look at laddering again if it's sustainable.

will the new T&C really affect the everyday reward 1% + EGA bonus 2.8% merry go round between single and joint?

Lets say if i have a single A and joint AB both enrolled in same cycle

Month 1 single A sms in, for single account you get 1% + 2.8%.

Month 2 rotate to joint AB, for joint get 1% + 2.8%

By month 3 the prior cycle will end, and A can sms in again and rotate to single again.

Whats the impact of new T&C?

Why cannot? Player 1 and 2 are different accounts rights?
Unless you referring to joint accounts?

Even if joint account i believe its possible to continue getting 1%+2.8% while rotating every month

maybe to be safe, always register the single account only

e.g. Accounts A, B and joint AB

if u register AB, both A and B will be registered?

If u register B, only B and AB is enrolled?

A can be enrolled next cycle

if register joint AB, only joint AB is registered, no impact to single. T&C stated so

I still trying to understand why some said the single and joint will be impacted, the only difference is the number of times one has to sms in every month, but the merry go round continues

You are correct from a practical perspective, but means need at least 3 accounts now ideally as opposed to 2 in order to work around it most effectively for 2 months cycle
