Since ocbc and uob is cutting interest rate starting May 1, I am considering putting money in HSBC after May 1. Is opening premier worth the hassle?

Hi All, I withdrew a large sum from EGA on 3rd March. With 30 day rule, would it be better to deposit back into EGA for the April promotion tomorrow, as today might still be within the 30 days?

Checking if such an approach makes sense.
- both hsbc and maybank have close to zero ADB in March (funds were in cimb)
- move 50% to hsbc ega (2.7+1%) and 50% to maybank iSavvy (2 6%) now
- on 1st June, move the iSavvy funds to EGA, so as to keep minimal ADB there in June to standby for July promo

Or is it simpler to just put the full amount in hsbc now (provided the 1% bonus interest doesn't exceed the monthly cap of $300), and leave it there until end June.

Can anyone help me clarify on everyday rewards + programme?

If I want to qualify for the 1% cashback on giro/debit card, can I transfer in the 2k, then do the 5 transactions without maintaining the 2k incremental balance?

(ii) “Fresh Funds” means a deposit of funds from outside of HSBC into the Eligible Account. For the
avoidance of doubt, Fresh Funds must not be:
(a) funds originating from any existing account with us; and
(b) funds that are withdrawn and re-deposited within the last 30 calendar days.

May I confirm that with this clause in the tnc, effectively its gameover for the sole and joint EGA BI and EGA+ merry go around?

some people claimed that it's just empty threats... say don't need to worry 'cos they still got their BI as 'expected'.

your own money, you decide whether you want to take the risk or follow the tnc as it says...

Hi, I am new to HSBC EGA as previously my money mainly park in OCBC. Now considering move to HSBC EGA. I oepned EGA before but maily idle except for GIRO payment cashback.
I registered the EGA Apr bonus interest prmotion already. Just wanna check:
1. If I transfer 100K to HSBC today, will this 100K eligible for 2.7% interest? For how long? Apr only or Apr, May and June?
2. If I made 5x Giro payment each month, will I be eligible for 1% extra interest?
3. What is the cap for the 2.7 + 1 % promo rate? ( My account is normal personal account)

May I also ask, if I deposit 100K for the EGA promotion (April to June). Do I still need to deposit another $2000 for the Everyday+ Rewards programme?
