But 15 May due date, and 15 May is not a PH. So deduction should be on 14 May, no?

This is listed at the top of the Citibank GIRO Setup form ......

"Citibank will debit the payment 3 business days before your statement due date. Kindly ensure that there are sufficient funds in your bank account"

This month the actual GIRO deduction date was probably messed up by the PH on Mon 12 May.

Given there’s now a wealth component for HSBC, i dont intend to put bulk of my savings in it anymore.

may i know if it means 1% giro will be affected if i dont hv a wealth component? If it’s not, what’s the min that i need to do to get 1% rebate for giro?

Thanks. Not sure why this time round is 2 days before due date. Usually is 1 day..
I'm transferring my money into EGA a day earlier next month, for this reason. I was shocked when the deduction happened a day earlier than usual but luckily funds were available in my EGA account

its a different promo right? 1% giro is just transfer in 2k or 5k and make the 5 eligible transactions

Verified with RM, wealth component only applicable for the account it was purchased with. So if u bought it from your sole account, does not apply for your joint accts. Need to buy from joint acct. Now considering if need to head down to branch to open investment acct with partner for joint. Quite a hassle.

So where do we view or find these wealth component products and if it’s worth it to buy to qualify for the wealth category ?

As in your sole investment account (which is a separate account from your EGA accounts) would only qualify u as a customer with wealth holdings for your sole EGA account and not your joint EGA accounts? Need to open joint investment accounts to qualify the respective joint EGA accounts?

That's really counterintuitive given that the T&C wording goes by 'customer with wealth holdings' so I thought anyone with holdings in his sole investment account would qualify all EGA accounts (single and joint) under him.

Did your RM give B&W on this treatment?

Think the way you interpret the tnc is likely to be correct.
