With the new measures to combat fraud, we will lose 2 to 4 days of interest for each round of merry go round. So only worth while if we earning interest from both EGA Bonus and Everyday+ Rewards.

Might be better to put funds into accounts that do not require us to merry go around eg uob stash.

What other bank accounts have decent interests?
Have u experience it or assume so ? Just a phone call , within an hour , done .

When we do merry go round, need to transfer money to other banks eg DBS. Hsbc will hold your funds when transfer to DBS and DBS will hold your funds when you want to transfer out for a day. For hsbc, I was fortunate to get hold of the fraud dept staff via customer service and funds were released within 3 hours. But other people mentioned that they took 9 hours or more before funds were released. Come 15 Oct, it will be even more difficult to get hold of CO to settle this. So 2 to 4 days delay would be the norm.

Who did you call, to settle the matter within an hour? CO has to asked fraud dept to call u as they cannot settle the matter themselves.

I called the standard helpline. She was able to assist.
I notice large transfers to new’account’ almost for sure be blocked . But after first time clearance of that account , subsequent transfers no problem for me .

Hey, I am planning to do that. Charge like few cents to make up a total of 7 transactions e.g. broadband bill etc... How about you and the rest?
How can you charge a few cents on your credit card? What I intend to do is to visit those food courts that can accept pay wave and charge a few dollars to my credit card. With that I can make up a total of 7 transactions over 7 days.

Giro bill payment by HSBC - the one that the bank set up from signing off the paperwork with the other banks.

Can I remove it through the apps by myself without going to the bank?

“Transactionally engaged customers” are defined as customers who have done 7 Eligible Transactions in each

month, October 2025, November 2025, December 2025. “Eligible Transactions” refer to any of the following:

(A) Posted transactions in SGD made with a HSBC personal Credit Card;

(B) Posted transactions made with a HSBC Everyday Global Debit Card;

https://www.hsbc.com.sg/content/dam...y-global/tnc-ega-bonus-interest-promotion.pdf
It doesn’t say need contactless ma
