Debit card is per account. So if joint account only one $10. Not both person $10 each.

one of my Premier Debit card does not give the option to switch to Bank mode at the GTM.

it is CEPAS ready with paywave etc

anyone encountered such issue before with other cards ? not sure if SimplyGo issue or HSBC card issue ..

I have the same issue with my premier debit card just now. Anyway using hsbc advance credit card first.

Btw did you managed to switch for other debit card or you only tried 1 card?

i realized this EGA is underrated, the bonus interest is 2%, but ppl missed out on the base of 0.35% for amt exceeding $500K, and the account can hold up to $2mil as max. So in theory if one has a large amt one can effectively get 2.35% with no lock in.

Yes, it applies up to $2 million. For convert and debit spend bonus interest only for first $100k.

I can switch all my debit cards to bank payment mode. No issues.
HSBC is so on Recd SMS this afternoon about this promotion

yes and there is a base of 0.35% for $500K and above, so for large amt you are getting 2.3%+

no, it's actually the newest Premier Debit received in mid-May

... i suspect this batch of hsbc debit card got problems ... the EGA can switch to Bank Mode but unable to perform online transactions (HSBC say got Visa issue)

... this Premier cannot switch but can do online ... have not tried EGA on bus rides yet

your newest Premier debit card cannot switch payment mode at GTM?
perhaps u try again today. My spouse said card has problem reading at GTM, try try 2-3 times then suceeded.
But yet to try any debit cards for rides.
(btw I used my spree card this morning, it's alright. Limited to first 15k, just FYI)
