Noticed that when using Traditional Chinese version, I can see Senior Citizen concession ticket, but when switching to English version, this portion is gone! Which is weird, anybody encounter that??

Children concession tickets can be seen from both Traditional Chinese & English versions.

On the chinese version, seems like you have to be a Taiwanese citizen or at least someone with a TW government ID to prove you're over 65. Here are the original words:
年滿六十五歲以上（以乘車當日為準），持有國民身分證或政府核發附有照片、身分證字號及出生年、月、日等足以證明身分證件之國民。

Basic translation: Over 65(on the day of riding), holding a TW national ID or a government issued ID with photo, date of birth, and social security number to prove your identity.

So I'm guessing that it's only for the TW senior citizen, which is probably why it's not on the English version, also because on these types of tickets the discount will be reimbursed by the government.

My guessing also same as yours. Is just weird that in English version, we still can see the child concession portion but Senior Citizen option is missing.

last time i check( a while ago), the senior citizen ticket is reimbursed by government funding whereas the child concession tickets are just a standard practice by the business, so that might be where the problem comes in.

logically on the other side, it's much easier for the staff to identify a children by eyesight then if a senior citizen is over 65, as some people maintain themselves well.

anyone knows if its ok to sit at 1st or last row? i cant find online pics of the seating area. not sure if they r cramp or not. its before n after luggage placement so i dont know if i choose the last row, can my chair still tilt backwards or if i choose front seat, can i seat comfortably or not have 2 big luggages so wana keep them within eye power scan

Personal experience from 6 month ago, 1st row has room for some luggage, last row doesn't.

Dun know what happen, when at 12:02am, I clicked the website, still see 35%. Accidentally clicked on refresh screen, it become on 20% discount !!!

Within less than 15 mins, I lost 15% discount per ticket !!!

So angry !!!

Hi, need some help in booking hsr tix. 1st timer here. How do u go about selecting numbered seats when booking? Or is it all free-seating? The website just prompt me to fill in particulars only. And i don't have a tw number. (Booking the 609 hsr ride for 5th march 8:10am from taoyuan to taichung) TIA!

Hi, anyone know what's Gui No. when booking tickets? I did not fill in the Gui No. for my friends and I. Will there be any problem when I board or collect the tickets? I already made payment and hopefully I can amend if I need to!
