Hi not sure if anyone is facing this problem but think so far with all the good review i am the only sway-kia. zzzz

After less than a week after buying my htc export set from shop dam happy starting using after 3 days screen suddenly go blank and cannot charge not exactly sure wth is the problem.

Now seriously dam sianz sia use less then a week cannot power on ler or charge after consulting the USA customer service they assist by providing solution still cannot on ask me maybe need send back to Taiwan for service as mine is a Taiwan set.

Anw would like to ask any htc 10 user face this problem and any solutions

Or anyone know if its possible to courier my set back to Taiwan and the procedure as due to my limit Chinese i seriously do not know whom to contact as the live chat in the taiwan site dam unresponsive too zzz.

As mine is export set am seriously lost now.

Learn my lesson dare not buy export set anymore first and last zzz

Provide more details so that we can advise. What have the US support already asked you to do to troubleshoot your phone?

[Power Issue]
1. What do you mean by screen suddenly go blank, you use until battery flat and cannot charge?
2. Have you tried another set of cable/charger combination to charge the phone?

Have you given up to troubleshoot and now looking to return to HTC Taiwan? Maybe you can ask the shop you bought it from for some advise or help on how to do the return?

If HTC ever starts to sell the 10 in SG, you can then send your overseas set in for servicing with a surcharge of S$53.50. That's what HTC telephone support told me a month ago.

Hi bro grimfan

This is a quick summary of what happen.
Bought phone on sunday everything was fine was able to fully charge and use like normal on mon, tues & wed. On thurs phone bat left 45% as usually when to charge it after an hr by right from the last 3 days exp should be almost done but when take a look it still at 85% nv though much let it share 30 min later see still jam at 85% so reset my phone to see if there was some problem but the phone was unable to switch on after that even the red charge light does not appear with the cable connected and the phone could not on after that.

Brought the phone back to the shop and the guy tried to on and the normal troubleshooting from HTC as in press power and up down bottom but still cannot on said he needs time to rectify he problem next day he called and told me say can switch on and told me maybe my cable and plug faulty so he pass me another adopter and a compatible cable when plug in his shop can charge but less only less then few min tot was fine. Go home tried charing and same problem after awhile the phone off again cannot on and without the red charging light.

He said that there is some issue with type c cable too and the sudden voltage cause my battery to go into sleep mode. Its like it can't be the voltage problem and keep bring my bat to sleep mode right ?

Tried using my fern LG G5 to charger but cannot work but when i use both my original htc and compatible cable on his G5 it working perfectly fine.

The shop gave me 3 possibility 1st is cable and adopter faulty which don't think so cos can still charge my fern G5 2nd and 3rd which is battery or motherboard got problem but i am afraid to let his technician after all need dismantle the phone to change either one that y asking if there a procedure to return the phone to taiwan to service after all believe they are more qualify and experience.

Shop told me as it export set he cannot help much on the return.

That really good news but like i said as above if really sway sway my battery or motherboard spoil which is a possibility by the shop and htc us support, would the warranty cover in Sg? I mean does battery or motherboard dam covers in warranty ?

So immediately after the reset you cannot turn on or charge the phone anymore?

When you connect the phone to the charger (even though it is not charging), can you turn it on?

Hi.

Just send a package to one of their repair centres in Taiwan and try to write in Chinese as much as you can about your problem and hope they can repair and send it back to any of your forwarding addresses in Taiwan.

Lastly, just try to beg HTC Singapore repair centre for help. (Highly doubt they will help you though)

Second part the staff called the next day told me due to the sudden surge of voltage from the cable therefore it put my bat to sleep mode therefore he said might be cable faulty that y was given a new set of competible ones but when tried charge my phone at home as when I took it from shop was only 60+% after awhile went back just like the above scenario phone cannot on or charge

Third part completely cannot on or charge

The reason why I asked the 3rd question is because I have personally encountered phones (Samsung and Sony) that cannot be turned on except when plugged into a charger/external battery.

The reason is because of faulty batteries, they cannot supply the required voltage to turn on the phone nor can the battery be charged. But when connected to a power source, the phones can be turned on.

So my question again is, can you turn on the phone when it is connected to a power source?

p.s. Please use a different power socket in your home to charge,
(to eliminate the possibility of a defective power socket in your home).

Looks like a complex issue; obviously it's not a power socket, adapter, charging cable issue.

Given that there is still charge in the phone battery (you said last seen still got 60% battery), likely is a hardware component/s issue (likely on the mainboard). Unfortunate.

Hard reset also cannot turn the phone on right?
