I wanted to get the 6P because of front facing speakers but the problem was the 6P internal audio chip wasnt very good. The htc 10 seems to have a separate dac

My hunch is the 10 only has the standard Qualcomm WCD9320 DAC that everyone else is using. That DAC is capable of 24/192 output, just disabled in most OS/software. In fact you can already output high res audio using your internal DAC with the alpha version of Poweramp, if your phone is supported: http://forum.powerampapp.com/index.php?/topic/8656-poweramp-alpha-build-702/

It makes sense to me because HTC seem to cutting costs by using eMMC storage and Tianma LCD panels, and HTC also didn't announce the presence of any special DAC chip.

I read on pocketnow that dac has no impact on speakers one. Dac only works in conjunction with amplifier and proper headphones/earphones. Of course ur music quality needs to be good.
V10 has a built in dac and amplifier while G5 is modular meaning, with the dac attachment will be better than v10. Without it will be worst.

AMOLED got better viewing angle. But, I prefer the clean and smooth UI of HTC 10. I hope this phone will revive HTC, I am getting sick of those 2 korean brand crappy skin..

And also.. I'm surprised nobody mentioned this. The space below and above the home button is not equal. Totally ruins the symmetry...

Yea, that was the first thing I noticed too. Was glad that they put back the capacitive buttons, but they couldn't even make it symmetrical top and bottom?! Disappointed with the lcd screen as well.. Guess there's no point in jumping back to htc unless the price is right

U can use third party launchers mah. I also cannot stand touchwhiz and the LG launchers

I'm using blackplayer. Very minimalist design. But preferred Poweramp.

I'm using the paid version.
Poweramp has better sound quality.
Just that blackplayer is better UI looking .haha
