HTC 10

I got my HTC 10 (TW export set) already but I feel it's expensive not because I am not willing to pay but because at such a price point, very few people will be giving HTC a chance.

If people don't give HTC phones a try and change their opinion of HTC, they won't get any kind of meaningful market share and profit levels to stay viable.

Most people just think HTC phones are lousy quality and for good reason due to their colourful history of poor support.

Bro agree. It is a marketing issue.
But sometime as business , they also need to see the profit margin.
Mobile phone is more or less a low profit margin business other Apple. Which had become a lifestyle product.

As flag ship product, consumer also cannot expect it to be cheap.
There are lower range mobile set from HTC in singapore which they want to try. Like the last flagship , M9 u can get it free for some plans. But of coz M9 is not the best.

so bottom line. wanna try got other choice. it is not a price issue.

The issue is marketing. Not a lot of ppl know abt HTC products.
It could be that the company is trap in a half in , half out phase.
No money to push too hard, nor do it wanna to quit.

I bought my HTC 10 from mobyshop.

Maybe you can check with mobyshop or HTC Singapore.

According to HTC's Warranty Statement for Asia, "Unless otherwise agreed by the Customer, this Limited Warranty shall last for twelve (12) months from the date of original purchase for mobile devices, and twelve (12) months for accessories (whether included in the mobile device sales package or sold separately) other than the media on which any software is provided, CD-ROM, memory card (“Warranty Period”)."

Checked with Moby liao, they don't cover because it's import set.
They do not have a HTC 10 wall adapter TC P5000-UK for sale either, they can only offer me a samsung fast charge adapter at a discounted price.

Used to have HTC retail shops too. I rmb one in Vivo.

If don't market and sell phone, where got money to setup and maintain support or even office.

What u say could be true. They waiting to be bought. Like Nokia. They was waiting to be sold then Microsoft happy buy them.


I maybe wrong but during my last visit to htc service centre, if u see their billing, the registered company is not HTC Singapore. I ask the cashier why. She say this company is the agent for HTC in singapore.

I believe (personal opinion) the retail and distribution of htc product in singapore is outsource to 3rd party. That could explain why there is a lack of marketing in singapore. It depends on how ur agent going to make money from this partnership.

Years there are HTC retail shops but they have close down. Those HTC I think was run directly by HTC last time.

All the above are my personal opinion.
