windows have closed for HTC 10

Will be a laughing stock (like the 251 units sales in china) when they launch ...unless they call it Nexus 10

Well, my hope of getting HTC 10 is draining day over day :( Don't force me to switch brand... :(

Really have a good mind to give up on the HTC 10. The Sony Xperia X actually looks pretty decent :D Don't know what is taking HTC so long when OnePlus 3 is practically ready for launch in like 33 countries on announcement. Tired of waiting for their "announcement soon".

They purposely put this, just to save battery slower draining, so can proof the phone battery can last longer than other phones ?

everyone,

HTC 10 uses the conventional emmc 5.1 internal storage, which is old technology that LG G4 used.

In short, they're using AndroBench's default settings other than changing sequential to 256KB. The default settings are designed to give a huge advantage to UFS in ways that real apps generally do not.

By default, AndroBench uses 8 IO threads for all of its tests. This behavior showed up with AndroBench 4 and continues in AndroBench 4.1.

eMMC is half-duplex, and designed for single-threaded IO tasks. It's not the greatest system, but it is the most common storage in use in Android phones, so applications are going to be designed for eMMC storage instead of the 5 or so phones that are shipping with UFS storage. Multi-threaded IO actually can negatively affect storage performance with eMMC because of resource contention issues, so in general it's rare to see multi-threaded IO in real apps.

Check out Anandtech's review, where the HTC 10 is 35% slower than GS7 in reads, and 75% faster than GS7 in writes due to a SLC write cache. http://www.anandtech.com/show/10252/htc-10-battery-storage-results

Real life performance of my HTC 10 has been butter smooth, so I think eMMC should not be a concern for prospective buyers.

I agreed with Chong. It is often that the apps didn't catch up with the hardware and OS. For example, After Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X move from 32-bits to 64-bits OS, there are still many apps (e.g. Google Chrome browser) still code in 32-bits.

I think majority of the users should'nt be bother too much by these kind of stats, unless you're hardcore developer. There's not too much difference in real time usage.

Agree! Thing might look nice in paper but if real time usage is not that good, ppl would still not bother. Eg. SD810 *cough*

Yeah, the actual live user experience tells since no test in the world can't truly stimulate 100% of the user experience. Furthermore, manufacturer can still find ways to manipulate the benchmark result of certain test.

i held off my recontract till as late as i can
now i got the new handset and sold it for cash, but HTC 10 still isn't appearing on our shores
my M7 battery is becoming more kaput by the day, i am not sure how long I can wait, or I might jump ship to s7 or a OP3 next month.
