2 strengths of the HTC 10 that have become apparent after almost a week of usage (besides the gorgeous metal build & industrial design):

1) The battery life is really something else. The phone only sips battery even when the screen is on. My brightness is usually at 25%, which is plenty bright under most lighting conditions.

Screenshot_20160812-002234_zpscpzgh78k.png

2) HTC weren't kidding when they boasted about the snappy touchscreen response of the HTC 10. This is the closest I have ever felt on an Android phone in comparison to the Apple iPhone in terms of touchscreen responsiveness. Using the HTC 10 is just a pleasantly snappy experience.

And I haven't even begun to dig deep into testing the much-lauded audio capabilities yet, although I have listened to a few metal tracks on YouTube (both on phone speakers and earphones) and was blown away.

I think I just found a phone that I can stick with for the next couple of years..

I was mainly web surfing on Chrome, Facebook Messenger (browsing and chatting), watching several YouTube vids, WhatsApping. Pretty casual tasks. Granted, I was on home wifi with brightness at 25% (auto brightness off), but I still can't remember any phone I've used giving this type of mileage.

I'm considering getting an iPhone from telco to sell and then get the HTC 10 off Lazada or some other local retailer. Anyone who has done this before can shed light on how practical this is?

super easy to do. I (and im sure many ppl here) have done this many times. iPhones also sell really easily. Personally, I like selling to friends/private buyer as you will likely get a much better price.

what other info do you need?

That's really crazy Screen On Time for the battery that size. Could you post your Screen On Time again when your battery is due for a recharge?

hi HTC users,

10 still uses emmc nand memory, you all can accept ar ?

You wont notice it on daily use unless u damn like to transfer photo, transfer music, video. Looking at paper spec is one thing and using it is another.

I think Nexus phones aren't really optimized for maximum battery life. The 6p battery capacity is 3450mah whereas S7 Edge is 3600mah, but the battery life is heapsss different.

Eh 6p was unfortunate to run on SD810. It really is a rubbish SoC.

Also yep 10 uses eMMC but those who read the anandtech hands on will know it's using a newer iNAND which means it's not as slow , and almost on par with UFS

That's nice to know. Do you know what's the average price it's being sold at and where I can find buyers if I don't know anyone who wants an iPhone off contract?

A lot variables at launch.
Just find buyer in marketplace when you have the phone on hand.

First day u can look at few hundreds profit, second day last yr iirc drop to 100-150 then from there is almost same as apple store price.

Nowadays apple release alot of stock liaos. U can find buyers on hwz the sales sub forum, if not can try carousell
