Hmm...
You're a student too..
Wondering how old are you and if they might have capitalized on that.
I wouldn't have left the Centre without a satisfactory reply.
Eg to fix 300-400 off retail price of a phone.
Especially since they asked you to pay more than the cost of a new phone.
It's simply ridiculous and makes no sense.

They simply said all my parts were damaged, so the cost is extremely high. And I'm 19 haha

AnandTech HTC 10 review

From http://www.anandtech.com/show/10468/the-htc-10-review

In light of everything, the HTC 10 feels like it shows a lot of attention to detail and care that seems to be absent in a lot of devices that I’ve had to review in the past few years. There are definitely sore spots like the display and WiFi, but on the whole the great camera, audio, design, and software experience come together to make a great phone that has really aged quite well over the past few months. There’s been a lot of discussion about how the price is too much, but realistically it looks like the price is closer to 600 USD due to frequent discounts. Considering the direct competition in the price range, on the basis of the device itself I would argue that the price is about in line with expectation. Even now, with the iPhone 7 and Note7 available my experiences with the HTC 10 lead me to believe that it’s well worth buying still if you’re looking for a high-end Android device that can be used with one hand.

Yep highlighted. Htc Singapore's in charge didn't give a damn haha. I simply asked the customer svc agent if they want me to buy an S7 and the person said that she will help me ask again or sth. Idk man I'm not even asking for free service. I even said I don't mind sacrificing my one year warranty and paying some more money. I probably will hold on until my B2 spoils, then move to Sony/ZTE since HTC has practically no compassion. I'm just a student also. Sell one kidney also cannot pay up.

@bluedub yepp I dropped it into water.
i think they quote you such an outrageous price just to get rid of you lah. bascially they dont want to repair it .... :(

Today's update: still says that max is 10%, nothing they can do. Also asked me to pay $32.10 which I happily rejected and told them they can keep the phone. They have lost me already. So much for waiting for such a long time.

Bro, keep the faith. HTC Singapore is just a distributor who does not know how to handle customers. Sounds like they can't be bothered. Highlight your plight to Cher and see what happens. I think if HTC is still bothers with the phone, they should do something for you. Fingers crossed.

Haha before seeing your suggestion, I already emailed Ms Wang and Mr Faisal. I really hope I dont end up with a brick. Hard to keep faith already. I myself cannot believe that I said I will stop purchasing htc products.

Hais, yeah stuck with B2 for the next 2 years I guess. Doubt CEO and South Asia President willing to help anyways.
