Guys, 2 queries

1. Do you know where is the local HTC service centre? From the website they show 111 Somerset but from what I know that building already demolished.

2. I see that I am not able to move apps to sdcard (I do not wish to use adoptable storage), as the option to change is greyed out. Is this normal? Are they forcing us to use adoptable storage?

Hi, building is not demolished and is still there. Building is beside 313 Somerset.

Some systems apps cannot be moved sadly.

Call htc for fun to check if back cover manufacturing difference can the service centre change it for free and to no surprise, $151.30 without service charges added 😂 even for "defect".

Like Mask, I started with O2 Smartphone, o2 Stealth, o2 zinc, then htc Sensation, HD2 Leo, M7, M8, and now waiting for M10 from Starhub.

Like aluminium body of M8, till now still swee swee :)

Also amazes me after 2.5 yrs, things are still working well, batt too although not as lasting.

I believe you are setting up your sdcard as portable storage, correct? Based on my understanding, the Android Marshmallow has done away with apps being on the SD card when it's setup as portable storage. However, even if you are set it up as adoptable storage, not all the apps are able to move to sdcard as it is depends on whether the developer of that particular apps allow move operation or not.

Yes, but this game I was able to move to SD from S7E (also Android 6.0.1) but not possible in the 10.

That's probably because Samsung don't support adoptable storage, thus customized it to support portable storage if I'm not wrong. Try Google it you will know what I mean.

Oic. Still deciding if I should use adoptable storage with my sandisk 200gb..what I am afraid is it might slow down the phone after doing it. And if the sdcard crash next time.. phone's gonna hang right.

I tot sammy (& LG) initially supported adaptive, and subsequently removed it?

Yes. For my case, seven knights and skyforce don't work on adaptive.

I must say the HTC forum is getting pretty lively, and thats a good sign!

Wah..... ASS reports someone file police report on HTC trying to hide an exploded HTC phone LOL. It's a non-disclosure deal for phone exchange..... a Desire 610, more than 1 year old, and happened on 3rd July 2016. Yet report can say Note 7 is not the only phone that explode. Sounds like someone dislikes HTC & trying to distract Samsumg's problem to HTC. Why not dig other brands' explosion cases? Apple, Sony, Huawei, LG no such cases?

Timing & the headlines of the report is really interesting.....

my phone is always on dimmest setting. I've noticed the screen appears to be flickering sometimes. Is it just my eyes cui or a defect? It's a very subtle flicker - like seeing the fan blades of a ceiling fan above you on your phone??

My unit doesn't have the problem. Will help you check with the display set in Clementi later.

That was what I felt too. I woke up at 840, watched an episode of drama and it dropped by 30% battery on battery saver. I guess I'm not the only one.
