Yes, GPS uses alot of battery power. So do searching for mobile signal where signal is not available.

Hmm, something odd just happened. On saturday night I was updating/downloading the latest apps. Today when I opened play store I saw that more apps that needed an update (some apps had 'new' updates released on Aug/Sept) and I already updated them on saturday.

It's like the phone just uninstalled updates? Idk what happened but weird

Well, my observation is that the apps very often push their updates. The more apps you have, the more often you will noticed that you have apps that need to update. For me, I have set apps update in Google Play store on when I am on WiFi to reduce battery power usage.

Not sure if I have been doing wrong all these years since 2000 - I leave the phone on charge overnight every day before I go to sleep. Didn't have any instance of phone battery gone bad.
So far, my hd2 , m7 n m8 could last until 7pm daily without midway charging.

Thats why I love HTC. Like u I often charge overnight, or in the car (especially when I need GPS even the batt is full), in the office. The battery is still functioning well. My M7 & M8 are still in working condition.

That's probably because HTC phone will stop charging when the phone battery is full.

It seems Huawei P9 is a better phone

I use Huawei Mate7 before, what I can say, spec is one thing, user experience is another. I prefer HTC 10 any time vs Mate7. I start "dislike" Mate7 on the very first month. nothing wrong with hardware just software/apk experience diff. Many app not compatible or not working somehow.

can turn off and turn on when you need what! Troublesome but can get more battery life out of it!

so troublesome. htc 10 can last till back home for me with wifi and GPS on. If I ever need, the xiaomi powerbank will rescue me. Furthermore, can charge in office and in car using quick charger. not a problem for me.

the only thing u can try is do hard reset and see whether is phone or software issue.

Remember to use "hard reset" via volume+downkey (if I remember correctly), clean the catch and data and restart. Do not use software hard reset.

Service centre just now told me to monitor a bit longer. I will try your method now!

Edit: tried your method, no option for me to clear cache.

HTC 10 screen too small?

I too have been using the M8 and it's been great. What i like about HTC is that the phones just work. no fuss. But the new HTC 10 screen is is is ... too small?

Ya .. the 10 is just slightly bigger. I am struggling w the m8 screen these days. only use it for casting and calls. Can't see the webpages too well. Any idea if there will be a 10 plus? i need something the size of my wife's E9 plus
