How do i switch to this mode ? I go under advance setting and usb connection is disabled.

When its connected, go to Settings > More > USB Connection to change the mode.

yeah think it has to be "new" or to be formatted on the device before use on the u11...

My "old" microSD card worked without having to format. Most likely the format wasn't correct from previous usage.

Mine is always in this state when i am plug in. Even though it can charge but it just wont be detected as usb connection. Haven't try with the original cable yet.

when you plug in your usb, you should see "charging" from the notification menu. when you click on it, it should give you options for mtp, ptp, etc mode. if you dont get this notification from the dropdown menu, then either the ports or cable is not working so id suggest you to use the stock cable to check. meanwhile, enable usb debugging in developer option and download any drivers needed while you are at it

Definitely try using the original cable. I used a third party cable before and it wasn't very reliable

Thanks guys. It works, indeed is the USB cable. Previously when i am using huawei phone. No problem using a third party cable, but now with HTC. I guess need to use the original cable for file transfer.

For anyone interested to buy U11, Qoo10 is selling at $878. Apply $100 discount coupon, the phone is $778 + $5 delivery. Only Silver model left though.
