The phone is a really good. Been using it as daily driver for last month. No compliants really

I saw that news too.
On the other hand, selling Vive can also be seen as to focus their effort on core business
which is smartphones. The fund from Vive can help to push R&D and marketing.

At the end of the day, we cannot deny that we are taking some risk getting this phone.

Nevertheless, this is a worthy phone with monster spec, market leading camera and cheaply priced.
Very worth hopping on!

They weren't really interested in Motorola. But rather all the patents it held. So Google acquired Motorola, acquired all the patents and then sold off to Lenovo.

Yep, and from HTC's track record of manufacturing (HTC is an OEM maker unlike Apple) Google phones, Google might just want HTC's manufacturing expertise. Not to mention hardware and software expertise for Sense UI and Edge Sense etc.

Do you guys or anyone on the 1.27.400.8 software have any problems with 'Cell Standby' battery drain? I lost 11% overnight in 8 hours while phone was off. This was a tested on a factory restored and lte on with nothing installed. Using M1 as carrier.

I fixed it by installing the 1.27.400.9 RUU on XDA forums. From what i gather is a .8 is india rom and .9 is hongkong rom. Not sure what is the cause but i speculate is cause india uses 850/1800/2300 , hongkong uses 900/1800/2300/2600 and singapore uses 900/1800/2600.

However I maybe wrong and something happened, and installing a ruu flashes everything again while a factory reset does not.

Interesting. I'm on M1 as well.
Lost about 5% overnight with LTE on.
Might be trying out the HongKong ROM as well see if any other difference.
