Finally, a review that doesn't trash the buttons.

Somehow I feel there's this movement against HTC in some way that it does not deserve. Here's what one guy said in the comment section of the youtube video. Of course, its on the net, all things must take with a pinch of salt, including the negative reviews:-

Phantom Descent

"I was hesitant after the reviews, but ended up getting it. I don't regret it. The battery isn't awful, but I hope they update it to get better life. The camera is great, the audio is great, the edge sense is cool. The buttons took some time to get used to, but I don't think they are as bad as the reviews say. I think it's more of we are used to physical clicking buttons. But as they are right now they work fine, and I'm sure HTC will get an update out to refine it. Also I love the look of the phone. I've also had HTC since the M7. I've had the M7, M9, 10 and now U12+"

Taiwan just got a firmware update
https://www.mobile01.com/topicdetail.php?f=566&t=5510782&p=1

Seems like it resolved some of the button issues.

Still so tempted to get it, but hubby couldn't find it at the airport when he was in Taiwan last week.

Oh btw, I just found that regardless of which country the phone is bought from, as long as the local service centre have the spare parts to fix the phone, they will fix it if the phone is still under warranty. My u11+ had a weird issue a few weeks back, so I called the service centre and 2 different staff told me the same information. The caveat is if they have the spare parts as the parts used for sg phones and tw phones may be slightly different.

I'm very tempted to ask my friend to help buy one too. Hmm. Is buying from expansys a good idea?
