Tiny pressure sensitive sensors on the side of the phone, works exactly like the edge sense.


Good innovation, but on power & volume rockers, hmm....

Looks like we will never be getting our U12+. HTC seems to be exiting Indian market for good, with South Asia president Faisal Siddiqui quitting and majority of the 80 member team following. Since HTC Singapore is under HTC India, I guess we can forget about the U12+.

Yeah read that news and it seems it is a dead duck in the water the U12+.
Sad...Really love the U11+ and was gonna get the u12+. Guess I might look at the Pixel 3 towards end of this year then.

Just got it today so still alot haven't try . A few observations
1) this is a large phone and the smooth and sloping back makes it hard to handle without a proper case
2) that said, u cannot choose too thick cases as it will affect the squeeze functions
3) mine is Taiwan set which had an update which improved the feedback on the buttons. To me the buttons weren't an issue even with a case.
4) sense is really very dated UI and some of the interface should refresh a bit. You can use a custom launcher but some parts u still can't change.
5) software is quite fast but occasionally you can see bugs. Not a lot
6) double tap on side function is nice but I have some issue locating the right portion to tap. Also do remember to remember the plastic film covering the side. Seems to affect the function. I think this function will be most affected if u use a case
7) not much time to test camera yet but seems pretty fast in good light. A tab too bright in point and shoot though

I am currently using this from Amazon ( consolidated it with my other stuff)

It's not bad though some small lifting at the bottom right corner but that is due to the case ( goes away when I remove my poetic case)
