I'm selling off my Sabertooth Z77 ATX & Air 540.
Looking to get a smaller case with ITX/MATX motherboard.

Currently I have

i5-2500K
2x2GB Team Xtreem DDR3 Ram
Intel Stock Cooler
3 x Solid state drives
Seasonic M12-II 620W PSU
5.25' Fan controller
2x SP120 quiet edition fan 120mm

I would need motherboard recommendation for both ITX & MATX.
Onboard sound port need to be compatible with my 5.1 sound system.
Case as small as possible, something around the size of Corsair 250D that can fit my PSU without needing to change to a SFF PSU.
No set budget in mind... Best would be as cheap as possible lol, don't mind going second hand as well.

Are you going to have any discrete graphics for this HTPC? If you wish to use madVR, Intel's HD Graphics 3000 WILL NOT CUT for the scaling algorithms and rendering enhancements.

And what 5.1 speaker system will you be connecting to? Onboard audio offering might not satisfy your acoustics requirement so you might wish to get another discrete sound card to pair with your speaker system.

Those in BOLD are seriously hindering from allowing you to go smaller than that of Corsair Obsidian 250D. I do understand you wish to reuse your ATX PSU but you will be able to get a smaller PSU bundled with an mITX quality chassis (still) at a lower cost than the Corsair chassis itself. So it is very worth it to give up on your PSU in order for you to get wider choice of smaller mITX chassis.
