dont know if anyone has such kind of issue that Huawei EMUI will restart the device and erased the data. I have encoutered 3 times of Huawei EMUI restart. the first time all the data and apps are there. the second time just some apps are going and all the pictures and files are there. but the layout of the UI is changed.
Now the last time happened about 2 wks ago, when I was on the island faraway in Australian, and there is no signal. I took some photos and put it in the pocket. net time I brought it out it had no response and just show the big Huawei logo like in the starting page. I tried to restart it and then something terrible happened. It said I need to re-login my google account just like a factory resetting. I forgot my password of the google account for the phone. And there was no signal so I can do nothing. After back to hotel I tried to login in with the google account when retrieving my password(the phone can receive SMS since it need the SMS verification to verify and login). However, in the EMUI UI, after enroll my finger print, it restart the device again from the beginning. And it went over and over again. it seemed to be a dead loop. I gave up on that day. And after two days, I just powered on the phone and it works, And all the pictures are lost! only some apps are there. but some apps are lost as well. what a terrible thing.

When I was back to Singapore. I went to Huawei Service Center asking for help. However, Huawei staff ended my service request in just 3 minutes and saying nothing they can help to get my pictures back! And told me if I was not satisfied with the result I can write an email to Huawei customer service. And I wrote several emails to Huawei customer service, still there is no progress.

I wonder if anyone encountered the EMUI issue or restart issue of Huawei phone. I hope we can together to let Huawei heard the voice of customer. Please leave me a msg if you encounter similar problem. Thanks

Same issue as Miui.
You store your photo in phone memory or SD card?

maybe you contact Huawei in FB. Usually their responding time is good.
