Huawei Face recognition with banking apps

New to Android. I notice all the banking apps. SCB, DBS still requires Touch ID despite my Mate 20 Pro having face recognition.

Doesn't this work like Apple Face ID ?

Mate 20 3d facial recognition more reliable, not all face Id using 3d. P series all don't use
