Is not weird... your pc Bluetooth could be 4.1 or 4.2 version whereas your earbud is Bluetooth 5.0

You can say it’s version should be backward compatible... but I have experienced occasion like this before.

I just checked my motherboard specs, it is bluetooth 5.0 too :(

Then you delete the device and pair again ...

For me... sometimes I reboot my PC to get it to work....

PS - Mine not Huawei Freebuds, just ordinary OEM Bluetooth earphones.

Anybody having issues with the case wireless charging?

Mine doesn't seem to be working now (not detected by wireless charger). It was working fine when I initially bought it.

So I brought my freebuds 3 to Huawei service center and they confirmed wireless charging was faulty and exchanged with a new one. Unfortunately only left white colour for the replacement set, so no choice changed from black to white colour.

Is it worth buying if not using huawei phone?what are the features that are not available for non huawei Android phones?

Yes it works with all smartphones that support Bluetooth audio. For Huawei phones, only the auto pause feature is extra, but I don't like it anyway.

The ANC is rather unique as it eliminates the ambient rumbling tones at the low and mid-range tones, but it does not remove the general noise level, e.g. people talking.

At S$239, it's reasonably priced. Sound quality is generally good. I like to use it when I'm chilling at a reasonably quiet place so that I can still interact with people around me, e.g. at home. You should buy only if you do not like stuffed up in-ear buds. Otherwise, to reduce noise, even normal passive earbuds work better.

got this for 2 weeks now and here's my takeaway

Pros
1) light, barely feel it when using
2) calls quality are great! Receiving party hears me clearly, and me hearing loud and clear! Much Much better than my Jabra 65 Eilte 65T Active
3) Can use on either left or right piece instead of limiting to the right piece like my Jabra
4) fast connection to phone. just need to flip open the case.
5) batt life is good

Cons
1) no volume control on earbuds. so sometimes get a shock when volume from music turns up suddenly and have to reach for phone to adjust volume
2) Can only connect to 1 device. I tried connecting to my iPad but doesn't detect.
edit: can only connect to 1 device at any one time
3) the material is smooth, too smooth so sometimes its slippery when taking out of the case. drop risk
4) no call accept function on earbuds. have to manually accept on phone.
edit: double tap on left earbud. works for all types of calls - normal, WA capp, WC call etc

Tried from my mother - Huawei FreeBuds 3 are an open-fit earphone, which means they don't have a silicone tip at the end that jams into your ear canal.

The double tap to accept calls was added in a previous firmware update. Make sure your earbuds firmware is fully updated using the Huawei AI Life App. :)

Hi,
I have tried different earbuds/earphones so far when I am on a call, the other end is struggling to hear me and I end up having to hang up. Usually I make calls on busy streets, on bus so the other person only hear the noisy background noise only but not my voice. How's Huawei Freebud 3 handle this in the respect? thanks
