actually I don't really care how much thickness of the glass it can work under (although it might affect the choice of the tempered glass protector). I only care about the speed at which it takes to unlock the phone.

also, will it be at one specific spot, or the entire bottom half of the panel? I would prefer the former, because I have a tendency to slip my fingers on the screen while holding the phone and wouldn't want to unlock it while, say walking.

Fingerprint scanner is very similar to what Mate RS is using, but with a much faster speed.

There are already a few phones with similar tech... one of them is by VIVO./.. although the older tech

New cpu usually come along with mate series.
P series will use the same chip and improve the software, camera, etc.
