Omg. That's unfortunate.
HW also wasn't responsive when I messaged them. However they called in the end. Try messaging once everyday. Or make a trip down to flag the issue.
Well.. When i did my exchange i had to waiy for hours even though i had an appointment.

My 2nd set also turns green. They stop replying facebook messages and they make empty promises all the time. Only way is to call them and not hang up until they provide a solution. Next to the phone issue, i have already wasted 60 dollars on screen protector and i will never get it back.

When I use LG phones in the past, wide angle lens can be used in whatsapp's camera. Anyone knows if it is possible to use wide angle lens in WhatsApp for mate20?

Can't it seems. WhatsApp is using their own camera app. Photo quality is worst vs normal camera app.

So you if you prioritize quality, you have to use normal cam -> share to WhatsApp chat.

I noticed the same issue for Mate 10 also.

FYI Telegram has the same issue, but at least you can select your camera app from within Telegram and snap + send directly (wide angle works here)

I suggest you go down the svc centre again. The guy who did the exchange for me, told me to go down if problem arises again.

I am running out of patience with the customer service centre of Huawei.

From day 1, the launch day, i Q-ed for more than 7 hours! Then the screen issues popped up.. waited for 2+ weeks for solution. Arrived at 313 for replacement they say there is a M20P exchange Q which was a lie .. so I Q-ed for 2 hours and then transferring the IMEI it took another hour.

Then the replacement set have the same issue as well. I am bugging them on Facebook and they said "please be patient".. after that they never responded to me, but they read my messages. So since Monday I am bugging them by phone calls and I have wasted more than 2 hours because I have to explain the problem again every time. They promised me a case number by Monday, but until today I have not received anything.

In the meantime they post new messages on Facebook on how great their phones are, new posts on Instagram... but ignoring my messages. Don't know how they work, but to me the impression is that they do not care about their customers.

Except for the screen issue.. it causes me so much inconvenience, time and money (nobody is going to pay my parking fee, transport, and the 2 screen protectors that I have applied so far). That I will never get back nor compensated! They really make their problems mine now which is unacceptable. How much I love their products... I detest their customer services ..

to all of you having issues with screen bleed, my 2 cents worth...

i am a malaysian and got my set in Malaysia. on 3rd day i noticed the bleed and brought my phone to the service centre immediately. they promised to give me a 1 to 1 exchange but no stock was available. I came back 4 days later to collect a new set. Purely the handset was changed... no extra accessories, no power bank. I am satisfied anyway as I have had experiences with lemon sets from LG and samsung before and I cant fault the level of service already.

I understand the frustration you guys are going through but please la ... need to be so drama meh? why call service centre a joke etc... clearly they do not know the origin of each set (BOE of LG) and they must be overloaded with tens (or maybe hundreds) of people with same issue. So no need to be nasty. I think you guys already enjoying extra power n\banks and in box accessories to make up for the inconvenience.

dont mean to offend anyone

Sorry.. But I have been dealing with them since day 1. We all paid 1348$ and we expect a proper device and service. Even if it is 1$ product, I expect it to be good.

I am not nasty. It is unfair that they make their problems our problems.

If you do not speak up, they will never help you.

I think what he meant was, speak up but no need to be dramatic and be nasty. sometimes we want to get message across but there are many approaches...just my two cents.:)
i am on my third sets, frustrated, very inconvenience to go down to exchange, but i think this is still one of my best phone ever. :)

I won't queue to get the phone on launch day or within 1 month as there will definitely be hiccups and problems with every phones when it's newly launched.

Cut Huawei Service Centre some slack. I believe they are trying their very best to get replacement sets for every customer in Singapore.

Yes, it says Supercharge.

Not able to update the firmware its still holding to 9.0.0.108

My old M20pro was 126.

Tried restarting many times, but still says "Your Software is upto date"

Operator : Starhub
Tried with M1 also no luck

Not sure if u managed to update.

After I update my SH custom software 9.0.0.8 (LT)

It immediately allowed me to update to the latest 9.0.0.126
.

So I'm updated!!!

Just got a replacement set by going down straight, didn't get the powerbank because CSO says must receive the SMS in order to have a case no. then can give free powerbank. Conclusion, remember to ask for it since you going through the proper channel.

Not that I'm cheapskate, but at least its an compensation for our time? I waited 2hours from 1pm to 3.30pm on Monday.

I believe HW's CS is doing their best, pleasing everyone the best they could from what I see at the service center. And it really proved the unexpected success of their product. Which made me appreciate my "mate" more than ever.

I jus got my replacement from huawei this afternoon. My appt they gave me was 5pm but I was there early cos evening got plans.

Anyway, if u do not any any appt with them, they prob will ask u go back and wait for their text. The lady told me phones available in stocks are for the replacement programs. Each phone was tagged for those who have appt with them. If u are lucky, they may have stock if u go without appt.

And as for the screen, all replacement units are BOE sets. That's all I know

I got my powerbank without any questions asked.
