Huawei is doing well in China. I doubt they gonna sell the mobile division. I hope they will be successful in Europe.

Yes domestic market is still strong, hopefully Harmony OS really take off too.

Did u install any google apps on the phone? If so by what method did u do it? Gbox?

I installed YouTube and YouTube music, chrome, loaded Gmail onto the stock email client. Google maps but location cannot work. Haven't tried Google drive and photos yet but they should work. I use microG

In my Mate X6, I too put my gmail address into the Huawei email app... seems ok. One other possible option is to put it into the open source Thunderbird app.
Maps seems ok for me with microG Services and microG Companion installed through AppGallery
