Bro, Convergent going to bring in the Mate 9?

Waiting for specification whether the Huawei Mate 9, 4G+3G for the dual sim.

Yes bringing in. Dual Sim 3g I can't comment right now until after launch on 3rd, but you already read 960 capabilities.

This is a beast all right! Never seen more beastly phone in such a long time! Should be nicknamed "The Beast", I think it deserves it if the specs are to be believed especially the camera spec.

Hope we can see a 1080p 5.9" IPS version with 6GB.

China can have their US$1300 Pro version with QHD curved OLED and face home button. That one too much Samsung clone and too expensive. :s12:

For me, 1080 screen is a must. Totally not willing to do qhd screen because zero benefit and huge power draw.

As for the memory I scared the 6gb configuration is using slower memory but please wait until see benchmark before making conclusions. It might be like graphics cards, the high gb configuration almost always use slower memory and overall performance slower. Also there's the problem of memory management as exhibited by the one plus.

The camera zoom is most mysterious which I don't have information myself.

qHD screen is needed for VR.
The price of USD1300 is probably for the top of the line model bundled with VR headset, as Mate 9 is rumored to support Google Daydream.

Just like we have pc for gaming and laptop for work, because they are 2 very different machines, I believe true VR gaming will use a separate phone. Because the 2k screen really compromises battery life so much.

The mate 9 will definitely be a daily driver phone. True gaming phone is not yet released, will probably be announced next year, probably with very poor battery life but incredible gpu power.

Around 6 hours remaining until the Global product launch of the Huawei Mate 9. From how rumors are shaping up, it seems to be a BEAST. RUMOURED features include:

* Ultra fast charging battery
* A stabilized 20 megapixel dual lens camera with some sort of Zoom feature
* A brand new User Interface called EMUI 5.0 with a killer function nobody knows yet
* A brand new CPU called the Kirin 960 which incorporates the fastest graphics chip to date and a new CPU type
* Everything running on the latest Android 7 Nougat
* A mystery feature (non hardware) which everybody needs but wasn't easily possible until now...

For more news on the Huawei Mate 9 on your Facebook newsfeed, you can LIKE the fan-generated Huaweimate9sg Facebook page and set it as `show first'. https://www.facebook.com/huaweimate9sg/ . They're a group of enthusiasts all with the Mate 8 will be up watching the live stream.

We don't know how to access the live stream yet, but it's going to be announced over Twitter by the Huaweimobile account: https://twitter.com/huaweimobile

The Hardwarezone forum will have all the juicy titbits usually, here: http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/android-user-group-323/huawei-mate-9-a-5465406.html

Can't wait! #astepahead
