Might be my imagination... But B189 is snappy. Feel it is the snappist UX since I owned the fone. Noticably fast.

Will use it more to find out but certainly enjoying this update!

Another nice thing abt this fone. Fr experience like Samsung, LG, Xiaomi (haven't owned others), Huawei has the most frequent firmware updates.

day 1 with this phone. Very snappy. :D

Need to adapt to the change in size as I come from sony x compact..

B189 seems to have fixed this issue

The article below points to the beta programme ending on 3 Nov, hence it is likely for the Android 8 to be rolled out around Dec or Jan for Mate 9.

Huawei kicks off Mate 9 Android Oreo beta program

The beta program will end on November 3, after which Huawei will likely put finishing touches to the software and release it. Although there’s no word on when that might happen, there’s a good chance the update will be rolled out before the end of the year.

Hi guys,

I am on B189 update. It's my first time using huawei phone and i'm not very sure on how to install custom rom. I browse through xda, the rooting, twrp, unlock bootloader process seems to be straightforward. But i dont understand the rebranding part. I understand different regions got different firmware, some get updated until b194. I'm nt sure if i can just install the custom rom on our firmware.
