Yeah, telco has to allow the device to work on their volte network.
Singapore telco all don't allow mate 9.
Even firmware, Huawei also don't push out any more though there's monthly update as they last time say (iirc).
Last update is 362 but FF app shows up to 367 but not authorized for us.
We even hv to put other countries sim to get updates, so disappointed

From Huawei Facebook Singapore.

Thank you for the information,(name).

Upon checking, we will release the update with build number 366 version for Mate 9. the updates currently being pushed to end users batch by batch and you will receive a notification alerting you to its availability and prompting you to update. We highly suggest you to wait for the updates via OTA, the updates will be pushed to you shortly.

I have been surfing the web and reading up on Pixel 2. I used to own a Nexus 6P but sold it as the battery life wasn't able to last me more than 1/2 day. The frequent OS update is a nice feature though.

I've been pondering about OS update issues and how oem (such as Huawei, Samsung, Xiaomi - they are called oem right?) don't provide OS (or security) update after probably 1.5-2 years.

Does this bothers you guys? Especially if you are using the phone as your daily driver, like Mate 9 is my main phone and Max II is my entrainment phone.
