Not many people are willing to pay $1,000+ for a handset, so that is why the latest Mate 9 Porsche Design is going to be available in limited quantities. For normal users, Huawei is preparing a non-Porsche Mate 9 model that is going to be much more affordable.

Huawei spokesperson has confirmed that they are working on the Mate 9 Porsche Design variant for the masses. The unannounced Mate 9 will keep a 5.5-inch curved display and will be cheaper than the standard Mate 9 due to the smaller screen and size. The only question is what specs will be downgraded - maybe QHD resolution to 1080p or 6 GB to 4 GB of RAM.

This cheaper M9 comes with 6GB ram finally?

No 1080p AMOLED please because of pentile arrangements which causes text to become very fuzzy at low res like 1080p :o

Porsche Design version makes no sense except for those wealthy rich Chinese .

The SRP is below P9 Plus sia.
Prefer the back design of the P9 Plus. If only Mate 9 spec in a P9 plus design.

Any Sim can be chosen as 4g, but the other one can support 3g/2g not 4g/3g, so as to maintain compatibility with 2g cards

First slot confirm 4G.
Second slot by default it's 3G or 2G. Please clarify?

If it's by default fixed at 2G, then no point going forward with this phone as 2G phasing out next year.

Phones like ZTE Axon7,Xiaomi (entry level to flagship) and V20 are supporting 4G+3G. Also, users has the option to choose the second slot either at 3G or 2G.

P9+ got AMOLED and force touch.
I can do without AMOLED because it is 1080p but the force touch seems useful

M9 price is good but not specular now.
M8 last time was the first batch of flagships, came out in Nov or Dec, a full quarter before other brands. We got the best version at $888 and it boasted new 16nm CPU (compared to failed Snapdragon 810), 4GB ram, 64GB memory, huge battery and screen, full aluminium and small bezels.
M9 looks ok now that other brands like Xiaomi, ZTE, 1+ and Leco do flagship specs at lower prices.

Say many times already. Confirm that secondary SIM support 3g/2g while the other one supports 4g/3g
