Huawei Mate 9

Hey guys, I was about to decide on the LG V20 already till I came across this Mate 9. I can't decide on which to get. Currently using LG G3, battery sometimes always heat up for no reason. In army I used a Huawei P1 Ascend non-cam, and it served me well.

In terms of price when I recontract, Huawei is $30 cheaper only. Any recommendation?

went to replace my nexus 6p for batt. send in the afternoon n told me need 3 days max. requested for replacement phone with no issue. later that day about 7pm. phone ready for collection liao.

Just buy the Mate 9. LG phone can't last more than a year.. Some people complain about the lag in V20 also.

I have my own DAP + AMP.

What DAC u use, how the DAC work ? right from folder to USB to DAC ? not going thru the internal dac n amp.

Mate 9 sound is not that good, n is like not so match with my ear phone.

Just buy the Mate 9. LG phone can't last more than a year.. Some people complain about the lag in V20 also.

The Mate 9 is my daily driver and I like it a lot, but seriously your sweeping statement above is nonsense. LG can't last a year? It's also your luck lah....Wah Lao.

I am using G4 for more than 1.5 years before I brought my Mate 9.

In term of battery life. it's better but I still need to monitor.

The only noticeable difference is my G4 is hot as compare to my Mate 9 is cooling.

In terms of operation, they are both ok.

But if you are using your phone as a mp3 player, then the V20 would be a better choice. Some also claimed that it's camera is also better.

My DAP is Fiio X1 Gen 2 with Fiio E17k AMP. I don't listen to music from my phone unless I'm using my Samsung Level U Pro Bluetooth earphones.

Huawei support team really very good sia.
Fast respond, courtesy, email replied on the same day as you send to them.

Even faced some issue with their phone but i can feel their sincerity. I will continue to support huawei now..

Any issue with the phone? Just go live chat using apps hicare. Seriously they will help u to solve it.

what phone version is everyone using now?? mine is B136 eh... hear say many got B138 update.. but whenever i "check for updates", there isnt any for me to update.

I on Singtel and upgraded quite early.

I am on singtel too ( all though not a singtel set ) but still stuck on 136 , how is the battery on 138 ? for me on 136 the battery sucks specially the phone idle is the highest consumer.

Ooo.. Right. I am using G3 for 2years already. The back part can be so hot sometimes difficult to touch it especially the metal button for unlocking the phone. If Mate 9 is cool to touch, i think it'd be great. Guess I'm settling down with this phone!

I am not sure about 136 as I updated straight to 138.

I only can said when it's idling. Meaning I closed all the applications. My full 100% only dropped maybe 1% after 4 hours.

Normal surfing, whatsapp and playing of POGO dropped from 100% to 66% in 3 hours.

If solely playing POGO can last me 6 hours and still left 50% battery on the conservative side.

Slow charge meh, I find it pretty fast.

But if you wanted to cable to charge using power bank. I will recommend this 10cm short stiff thick cable.
