Running under the hood are Huawei's in-house Kirin 980 chipset, 8GB RAM, Balong 5000 5G modem, 512GB internal storage space and a massive 4,500mAh battery. The battery can be recharged from 0% to 85% in 30 minutes, thanks to the upgraded 55W Huawei SuperCharge.

The specs of the cameras are unknown at the moment, but they do have the Leica branding. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack. The Mate X is priced at €2,299 (~S$3,527).

Design wise seems like Kindle Oasis when open to "tablet". I feel it's better than Galaxy Fold maybe because there's no notch & it's 8 inch screen when open, Good for reading :s13:

But there's no spec on the camera although is 3 lens by Leica, if the camera is like Mate 20 spec, that would be great & a plus point.

Price wise indeed is expensive, unless you have the patience to wait for 2nd & 3rd generation when the technology is mature & 5G is fully roll out, price maybe will come down to less than $1500 mark. :s7:

I wonder what kind of people are they targeting, for a phone that cost more than S$3K.

First adopters willing to spend so much?

Looks so goood (other than the creasing)..I think it sets the benchmark for future folding phones coming out in the future. Next 10 years for mobile phones gonna be exciting!

A tablet will cost around range of 800plus. A good phone will cost around 1000plus. Buying 2 products will be more cost effective. But people don't look at it this way.

The cost of a ferrari will cost a few units of the same car but does that mean people will buy a few cars and not 1 ferrari? It's totally different product we talking about
