Hate to say it but the guy from Tech Spurt is just reading specs.

I have been reviewing Huawei tablets for years and hardware for their mid and high end tablets is always fantastic, and rival Samsung and Apple.

Main downside is there is no official Google Play Store (GPS) support. So even if you install GPS via Gbox or Gspace, you may not be able to restore past purchases, buy apps, and in some instances sign in because some apps require Google Play Services.

These reviewers always downplay the importance of GPS.

Another thing not mentioned is within Huawei apps have a lot of ads, and I mean A LOT.

I am huge supporter before Huawei has GPS service, after Google service no longer available and sideload Google service, even McDonald app cannot use previously.

I am not sure, whether 2024 now works?

Huawei is an empire that make great products. But with no Google store, they should give solid apps on harmony OS. Like maybe full access of Tencent tv, Youku tv etc. if they can’t do a tablet for work, at least do a tablet for entertainment. Now like both sides also cmi. They should consider pulling out of SG also

Even if the apps you want can work now, it may not mean they will work next year.

Agree with you... no Google Play is a dead end... there's no possibility of a rise again if Huawei can't plug into the global market which demands access to what everyone else in the world uses... really doesn't matter how good HarmonyOS and the associated apps are... it will simply be good enough only for China and for the residents there who don't leave China ever... otherwise Huawei is as good as useless outside of China given that everything we use mobile devices for reside on the internet...

Many of these reviewers are paid to say nice things about Huawei and downplay or stay silent about the downsides which are complete deal breakers... essentially the complete inability to plug into the Android space...

I'm actually quite tempted to get the Huawei MatePad Mini as a phone. lol. Mostly because it has pen support.

I'm using the S25U phone for sketching outdoors and the display is so small
