Most probably S$900

500 x 1.48 = 740 then

740 + 7% = 791.80 then

791.80 + 100 distribution logistic retail promotion warranty/service centre cost = 891.80

thanks for your maths, but there is one little tiny "error" ... correct me right if I'm wrong ... but i really dun believe local dealers / distributors will get the phone at "COST PRICE @ RRP" - aka USD $500 per se

they should be getting at a much cheaper rate, eg USD $400-450

but i do agree on the next comment "underestimating the greed of the local distros here" SG people like to be carrots ....

Local dealers want to make a profit is RIGHT and is not wrong - ie, they need to cover rent, labour cost, warranty ...etc .... but there is a "fair amt" and an amt which is "dumb" ...

aka if u sell at $1000 - i can honestly tell you, majority of "men on the street" wont even bother ...will say crazy ... buy Nexus - who cares HUAWEI , PRC brand what ... what nexus - LEXUS i know ....

for a $1000 phone , no resale, i rather get I-fruit or Samdung ... instead ....

but even at $1000 or more, there will be fanboys, geeks, or developers who will buy ... nothing wrong ... as long you are happy with your phone

that is 2 cents take

I don't think it will be like S$900. May be S$800 AT MOST. Huawei is not that dumb to make it similar pricing with the likes of Sony and LG.

if the local distro sell it at 1k, i would rather buy the gold version from Japan instead...

another way which OEM can play around with the price is via a goodie bundle

least for me, i remember getting my GF a LG G3 late last yr, which i think one of the best offer ever, gave pretty good LG BT headphone (which i use daily), extra battery, extra case, selfie stick, some shitty screen protector ... (1-2 more random **** which i cant remember)

LG G4 - which i got my dad last week from Singtel - got Free Battery, "leather case" - still ok ... but not as good as last yr

ps Singtel HQ even throw in a little paper lantern !!!! hahahah
-------------------

what is Huawei track record on goodie bundle? does any Bro know ???

-------------------

But if I'm given a choice, i rather have a CHEAPER PHONE than all those "goodie bundle"

also, in a "ideal world" if the final RRP price from Huawei SG if really matches "close" to the US pricing (after direct FX) ..

confirm will have many "Tourists" sure flood to Plaza Sing, remember "Tourist" can still claim GST / VAT rebates ... (cum lucky draw at Plaza Sing ...etc)

price has to be below $900 for the 32gb version and below $1000 for the 64gb version, because of note 5...

note 5 is still has a better camera, screen, overall size, audio quality and can be had for $875 & $1020 respectively.

I recalled their mate 7 to come with free case, extended warranty and something else but at least you know there's a bundle like LG and Samsung based on Mate 7 record.

Sent from Samsung SM-N920I using GAGT

Just to share with the folks here, do not touch the billing address if the existing one is working fine .

I have created a dedicated google account just for Google Play Store ordering only. I have been using that for long since 2012 to order Nexus 4,5,6,10 chromecast with zero issue.

As my credit card is expired and ComGateWay has changed its address. I did a billing address update and credit card expiry date update..after that, i proceeded to order Nexus 6P....

Oops , tried out different combinations, all 3 orders get cancelled . The error quoted was Detected High risk profile.. advise me to login again in 30 min time.

I logged out play store and changed the billing address back to the previous address ( Comgateway old address) and waited for 45 min and back in to Play Store to order Nexus 6P again..Luckily , the order get through and received a SMS Alert of transaction of USD499 was charged to my credit card. Usually Google will not charge the card till shipment done, dont know why this time, it charged my credit card.

Lesson learnt, do not update working billing address .

I dont know Google will cancel my order or not as now billing address and the shipping address are different . I have done similar arrangement before (shipment and billing address are different)

Anyone of you get the credit payment charged just right after ordering

Did you edit the credit card billing address and straight away perform the check out ?

I can not use my active google account , which is locked down and classified as Merchant Account ,address is permanently locked to Singapore..During Nexus One purchase period, i created the gmail account for google wallet and somehow it was classified as merchant account.
