Bought it at 378 from kasia with free gift pack yesterday and sold it at 350 today via carousell.

A decent phone for those on a budget if you want a brand new phone.

Pros
1) good battery life
2) good screen resolution/brightness
3) responsive phone with minimal lags
4) passable camera under good lighting but grainy shots in low light
5) free screen protector applied by factory
6) gift pack including headphones, selfie stick and iring
7) specs are decent
8) lightweight with a 5.9inch screen

Cons
1) dual SIM function is useless as second SIM slot supports only 2g with no idea whether an update will patch it (then don't bloody market it as a dual SIM phone in SG)
2) no 5ghz Wi-Fi (seriously wtfiak?! Even a Xiaomi 200bucks phone has it)
3) camera is not that good unless under good lighting (well any phone under good lighting will produce good results)

For sub 400, I'm better off getting an used s7 edge/g6 which are awesome by today standards unless you are a die hard Huawei or emui fan.

common for entry-level phones targeted at developing nations, but not for phones in the mid-range level sold in Singapore

To put it simply, this phone is not worth the price you are paying for. Even mi max at 300 bucks is better.

It would have been extremely worth it if it supports 5ghz. The camera is better than most mid-rangers, the screen resolution is great and the look is sleek

Just top up a bit to get Mate 9 or another brand for a peace of mind.

It's a good suggestion, but not sure whether Huawei would continue to support Mate 9 by 2019. Some people buy phones for long-term usage (3-4 years) because they find it a hassle to change

Just got from J2mobile ordering thru Shopee. $388 for 2 year warranty and with some freebie. Camera and Battery life quite good and no heating issues. Charging is a little slow though.

Foc repair first time if screen crack. Got this mid range phone for own use as I wanted a new phone without too much depreciation.

Hope Huawei can do more on their mid range phones as Xiaomi is a very strong competitor in mid range. I considered getting this nova 2i as the screen was 5.9 inch big and just nice for me but I read the chip wasn't as fast as 625 and the 5ghz and 2g 2nd sim was too much killer for a sub 300plus phone.
