I cloned my phone over and google map is cloned over as well. It seems to be working with occasional pop up saying it does not work without GMS.but it seem to work for me. I'm still testing it.

Only clone? no sideloading of GMS?
I wanna try using it without GMS...

I just tested. it does not work.

Did not side load gms. Actually still working normally but it does adversely affect the experience of having a good phone.

Left with singtel dash. When they send me an sms and I key it in. It always have error code 19005002. It is frustrating.

Apparently nothing to do with p40 pro. It is my account that got issue. I managed to setup dash liao. Left with testing the app on bus and train.

Thanks for this advice. I managed to get grab working now. This phone is not for the faint hearted.

Anyone using Waze map on P40 Pro?
My phone will be delivered 11 May... now preparing for life without GMS.... lol

If not, what maps are you guys using? I just downloaded Here WeGo Map on my Mate20 Pro to get use to it...

Hahha most of my daily used apps are working. Still has some small issues with other apps but I can live with it. There are ways to over these issues. Btw the battery life is as good as p30 pro if u ask me.

I been playing with my phone the whole day since it is fully charged at 8pm yesterday and until now it has still 16% left at 4:50pm that is almost 21 hours not charged.

That being said i think my sot is about 8-10 hours.

Phone officially at 1% at 5:52pm. And auto shutdown at 5:53pm. That is almost 22 hrs since the last charge. Amazing!

Huawei AppGallery seems to lack quite a few essential local entertainment apps, namely SingTel Cast, SingTel TV Go and Starhub Go.

However MeWatch and MeListen are included.

For VPN apps, Astrill is also missing.

I think it is going to take a while despite the fact they are implementing as fast as they could but there is simply too many app to added on a daily basis.

No doubt u are right. But since hw is shut out of google eco system. They have to strive outside of it then. There are so many users in China it is whole different world out there. We just need to see it like they do.
