I think maybe Mate 40 Pro price will be stable cos the latest HW phones, only Mate 40 had 5G support. I am still very happy with Mate 40 Pro as daily driver, very nice and great phone.

@tohchr

Do you think there will be a time, where phone users will buy Mate 40 Pro, at least........

Cos Mate 40 Pro really a very capable phone

Not all. For those who does not rely on Google services (I already cut off from google), they had additional choice of buying HW phones. Some people needs certain apps which only depends on GMS, they had no choice but to stay away from Huawei. Let say if one day Samsung grew stronger and affects iPhones sales, US will do the same to Samsung.

Very good, you are totally independent now.

It means you are not tied down on Google

To be frank, the only google app which I used now is Youtube (vanced) which can easily be replace by other FOC app. I dun use gmail, maps, drive, etc.. I do not feel "empty" without these apps and in fact, the whole phone feel much snappier without google apps. Using HW phones till now, only one app which is not supported is Shenton Medical ecard. Well, this doesn't bother me as I dun go to Shenton to see a doctor. I just go to normal GP and Copay $5 which is the same as Shenton medical. I am waiting for HW Petal One to launch outside China, it's a all in one storage, movies, music subscriptions, (some 3rd party vendors included) which is similar or copy of Apple subscriptions.

Yes, Petal One was announced yesterday. Yup, vanced was created by someone over in XDA I think. Petal Maps had improved so much in a span of 1 year. The routing which I tested is much more accurate and also it will show the current road speed limit as well.

I'm using HERE WeGo map. It is very useful for drivers.

Yes, I am using HereWeGo also before Petal Maps was updated with more features. I remembered HereWeGo was created by Nokia? It's a good offline map!

It looks like Mi 11 Ultra is stronger in many aspects compared to P50 Pro, and Mi 11 Ultra's current price is slightly cheaper too.

M11 is a good phone as well. I am too used to HW phones since Mate 20X due to the superb battery life and speedy interface. Hence, I stick to HW phones but my alternate choice would be XiaoMi followed by One Plus if HW couldn't come out with newer model due to sanction.
